ABOUT ME AND MY WORK

I am an experienced person centred counsellor / psychotherapist. My aim is to create a trusting relationship where you feel able to take risks and explore what is currently challenging you.

My experience over the years has been seeing clients with a wide range of problems, from those in crisis, to those with complex relatioanl needs. An aspect of my work is counselling within the N.H.S. for people diagnosed with depression and anxiety (I.A.P.T. Service). I also work with people who are experiencing peri-natal depression.

I practice from several therapy rooms within East Sussex. I have a wide variety of experience counselling ordinary people who find themselves struggling or are in crisis at certain points in their life. Other issues I have worked with include:

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy(B.A.C.P.) and a member of the Focusing Institute. I work within the B.A.C.P.'s framework of good practice and as such I receive regular supervision and have a commitment to both my own personal and professional development.

I am a qualified focusing orientated therapist and trainer, and am also familiar with other different therapeutic approaches. As such I offer a flexible, creative way of working and endeavour to encourage you to do the same. My role is to create an atmosphere in which we can work together to empower you to find ways of working that are most suited to you.
